last but not least...

Good heavens I don't even know where to begin. slkdjfblaskjefaksje.
welll uhm i think this will be my last email of the mish. ugh. i'm struggling super hard to come to terms with that. WUT. IS. LIFE.

well i guess i will be normal for a sec before i go all sentimental on ya. plan? ok.

funnies of the week: well actually i just want y'all to know how much i LOVE my companion. straight gem. so grateful for her. we're just gonna dedicate the next few quotes to her.

Wheat: ''if i was Nicaraguan, i would sit on this porch in this rocking chair and drink frescos allll day.''
Gubler: ''if i was Nicaraguan, I would work my butt off so i could go to the United States and become American...'' HAHAHAHA.

*walking down the street. we stop to contact a family. then walk away*
Gubler: ''that was kinda weird.. they smelled like unbaked bread or yeast or something..''
Wheat: ''that's called beer, my dear.'' (yes i rhymed that in real life cause i'm that good.)

in other news i just wanted y'all to know that nicaraguan bats are downright suicidal. i had about 6 try to dive into my face this week.

me and hermana gubler spent 3 minutes of our lives chucking rocks at a massive coackroach on the side of the road until it finally died.

and DANIEL. the cutest nine year old on the face of the planet got baptized. his parents had been members nine years but were inactive until we helped them get back to churchhhhy. i love them with all of my heart and it was seriously SUCH a happy moment! one day they will get to the temple! ahhhh.

church on sundaaaay. we taught the 3rd hour lesson on Christmas and missionary work. (GO WATCH 'HE IS THE GIFT'. i'm obsessed.) and mom! we made a christmas box and made everyone put in what they were going to give to Christ this year. so cute :)

well guys. i'm just not grasping the fact that almost 18 months have passed since i got into this amazing country. this place has become a part of me that can't be erased and i'm so grateful for that.

let's take a nice trip down memory lane, shall we? REMEMBER WHEN...... i got chased by a drunk woman throwing rocks at me? finally learned spanish? made best friends with a monkey? got chased by a goat? got robbed at gunpoint? hiked a waterfall? fell in a hole and broke my foot? and had a pretty blue cast? got hug raped by a down sydrome nica kid? ate cow liver? got robbed AGAIN but stole my wallet back? went to the beach? washed my clothes on a rock? almost got washed away by a street that turned into a 3 foot deep river? fell into the mud? and fell in LOVE with missionary work? and this perfect gospel. and came to truly know that I AM A DAUGHTER OF GOD. and learned to love unconditionally. and watched God work miracles through my human hands. and learned that one person really CAN make a difference. and saw COUNTLESS lives change by people coming to know Christ, their Savior.

this truly has been the best 18 months of my life. and i would NOT change it for the world. I just want you guys to know that i really know, without any doubts, that Jesus Christ is our Savior. He died for us so that we can have eternal salvation. He suffered for us so that we can have a perfect friend who PERFECTLY comprehends us. HE LIVES. and loves us. God is our loving Heavenly Father. we ARE His children. He knows us perfectly, and personally. the power of prayer is real. miracles happen, they haven't ceased to exist. the plan of salvation is absolutely flawless. and it's called the plan of happiness because it really is the ONLY thing that brings us true happiness in this life. the Book of Mormon is the word of God. it can change lives. really and truly. families can be together FOREVER. forever. made possible only through ordinances in the Holy Temple. sharing the gospel is the most rewarding, life changing, and EASY thing we can do here on the earth. open your mouths. share your happiness! lives will change, including yours. the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the true church of Christ on the earth today. I've never been so sure :)

I LOVE YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH! see you so so soon!

con amor, hermana wheaaaat

baptisms, fun facts and cockroaches yay‏

I never thought I would say this but this week i caught myself wishing for more days in the week! There's just so much to do and so little time to do it- people to baptize, members to activate, converts to retain, THE WORLD TO SAVE. basically. but AH. this work is amazing and i'm obsessed.

well i figure there are a few things about Nicaragua that are now so normalk for me but that y'all don't know...

FUN FACTS NICA:
1. they eat everything with a spoon. even meat.
2. they make homemade juice everyday. YUM.
3. they sweep their dirt. then water it.
4. they eat rice like it's going out of style.
5. ketchup is a kitchen staple. have it or die.

This week?
a chicken tried to eat my foot.
i accidentally called my comp Lucy... three times.
watched a mormon message that made my cried and miss my grandparents.. (LOVE YOU GUYS AND SEE YOU SOON!)
found a cockroach the size of my missionary tag in the sink. then my comp caught it in a pringles can and started hyperventilating.
someone we contacted in the street showed up to church (second time in my mish)... and asked where he could BUY a Book of Mormon. BUY. every missionary's dream.
taught english class.
my favorite family Elaine and Otto came to church. pray for them. they need answers.
and the rest of the martinez fam got baptized! :) oh gosh they are so happppppy. and ME TOO. all because we introduced ourselves to the neighbors. do it. NOW.

3 Nephi 5:13. Are you a true disciple of Christ?

THIS CHURCH IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE. yeah.

President is out of control. life will be fun though! i'm gonna just put all i have into these last 6 weeks :) this little baby is gonna be TIRED.

the only down side is holy hannah i'm gonna miss my little hermana boj. it was SOOO hard to see her go. she cried and i wanted to die a little inside. i just love her! we had soo much fun together- singing and playing guitar and walking and eating and all that jazz that missionaries do. just, funnier. maybe my next companion will play me guitar as i fall asleep too... shoot. i already miss my little Boj. the mission just makes you the best friends in the world.

SWEET 16

realized i haven't written in a while... don't have much time so here it goes.

OH MY HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY TO THE COOLEST KID I KNOW. love you sooo much carterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i will bring you presents don't worry

I HAVE BEEN HERE 16 MONTHS!? is this real life? not sure. someone asked me the other day how long i had in the mission and i told him 3 months, just to see if he would believe me. and he goes ''no. your name badge is way too gross to have 3 months...'' hahaha it's turning yellow and way faded. i'm proud.

last week i decided i needed to introduce myself to our neighbors. so i did. they went to church. and want to get baptized. GUYS. there are people in every corner and nook and cranny that need this gospel. just TALK to them. DO IT. please. i beg of you. :) you won't regret it. pray for Carol and Katerine and Tania and Maria Esther and Ezekiel. my neighbors. :) thanks.

also i did divisions with an Hermana this week in an area that i visited like 2 months ago. and i met a family that just got baptized. that i contacted when i was there! it was so amazing to see what a 3 minute conversation can spark! once again. open your mouth and talk. ahhhhhhhhhhh i love missionary work.

that's about it. oh wait. i was at an investigators house and we sang a hymn and her 100 year old great grandma was there.. and she start clapping and yelling during the hymn.. cause that's how the christians do it here... hahhahahahah my comp was crying and i had to keep singing and i don't know if this is too funny but it was hysterical. then the gma came to church and i was scared she was gonna start screaming during the hymns but she behaved. whooo.

love you all. the church is true the book is blueeeeeeeeee

time flies when yurrrr havin' funnnnn‏

oh my goodness time is literally flying. like Jane tried to that one time when she thought she was Peter Pan and jumped off of the wall into the rocks... HAHA. please tell me you remember that, Mom.
HOLY HANNAH SUPER BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO MY BESTFRIEND WHO IS 21 YEARS OLD TODAY. love you hanu! i cannot believe my friends are 21... also happy birthday my jujieeee TOMORROW and angela! i think i'm having a midlife crisis.. 21.. what. wait, can i have a mid'life crisis at 20?
just wanna cordially invite everyone to try sleeping through the night when it's dumping rain in legit buckets and your roof is made of tin.
speaking of rain.... it makes me SO COLD at night. what? cold... wow. i'm so screwed to get home.. then go to the snow 3 weeks later. i may be sweating right now but my heart is shivering at the thought.
in my zone there's a tongan kid from new zealand. yes he has a sick accent. sadly he's going home this week. but HE GAVE ME HIS MASSIVE JAR OF NUTELLA and maybe he has currently officially become my best friend.
one thing i hate about being abnormally tall in a country of tiny people? every time i'm waiting in line somewhere, people get real anxious and scoot foward way too fast... and my butt is at the exact same level and fat men's stomachs. i'll let you use your imaginations there.
CONFERENCE WAS AWESOME. not gonna lie. didn't understand much cause it was SO LOUD. so many kids screaming and speedy spanish translators buuuuuut we brought lots of investigators :) kendra and helmut and ninoska and yessenia and polito and julio and elaine and farid and yeahhhhhh pray for them :) didn't hear much but i can say that i KNOW thomas s. monson is a prophet of God who leads and guides us. i'm sure of it. HOW LUCKY ARE WE. the church is true y'all.
