smiiiiiiiles in Tezoatega, Chinandegaaaaa‏

welllll hey y'all.

sooooo when i first heard it was hot in Nicaragua i was like ''yeah, yeah. i'm from Arizona. be real. i'm fine.'' i got here and realized i was wrong. we've established that. Managua.. was bloody hot. i complained every day. oops. but CHINANDEGA. is a new kind of hot that i didn't even know existed. i want to shower 13 times a day. my eyelashes sweat. my fingernails sweat. not lying.

soooo if you caught that i'm not in Managua.. FINALLY.. you realize that I HAD CHANGES. haha about time. i LOVED Managua, but it was time for me to get out of there. and Chinandega has a new (bloody hot) adventure waiting for me :)

sooooo my companion. Hermana Zepeda, from MEXICO. (viva mexico.) and I LOVE HER. i was a bit nervous, but we get along great. she's hilarious, i'm hilarious (obvi). it's a win win. it's fun having a latina companion again after so long! hopefully my spanish will improve :)

wellllll chinandega is a bit different than managua.... there's no mcdonald's. no running water in the mornings. bucket showers. lots of fatty rats. more dust than you can ever imagine. cockroaches up the dang wazzzzoooo. rashes on my stomach. lots more exciting things that i LOVE. honest. i'm so excited to be here! the people are so much more humble and willing to listen and it should be awesome :)

uhm i've learned karma is real. quick anecdote.
saturday. contacting some dude outside his house. there's a puddle. old woman.. like OLD woman.. walks through it. slips. falls. on her back. like straight up cartoon fall. i panicked for a second.. but then she gets up and starts yelling at us for not telling her about the puddle or something... she leaves, walks away, just perfectly fine... so me and my comp turn the corner and CRY we were laughing so hard. like 10 minutes straight. hahahahhaha. oops.
sunday. walking to church. i fell in the mud. that's all.

welllllll uhm just. SMILE. this week me and my companion were on a bus and some motivational speaker gets on. and the first thing he says is, ''i saw just THREE PEOPLE out of the 60 on this bus smile when they got on. the mormon hermanas, and this young kid up here.'' how happy was i that i had smiled getting on that bus! really, i love smiling. it shows i'm happy. and i really am SO HAPPY! so happy. this gospel makes me happier than any job, money, item, etc. could ever EVER make me. the happiness that the gospel brings is eternal. and we need to show it to EVERYONE. like Nephi says, we live after the manner of happiness! the Lord's way:) so i guess this is just an invitation to smile. show everyone you're happy. help them be happy, too!

this is the true church. i know it. Jesus lives. He loves us. families are forever. the book of mormon is true. (and it's blue... for any of you who've forgotten...)

uhhhhhhhhm PICTURES NEXT WEEK. forgive me. i still look the same. just a little tanner...

LOOOOOOOOOVE YOU ALL!
