heeey y'all! happppppy NEW YEAR. 2014? for real? is this real life? cause i'm not sure. that means i turn 20 this year. ew.
wellll my new year went quite swimmingly. went to president's house for dinner, played VOLLEYBALL on his 2 and a half foot net... (i think i'm obsessed with volleyball) stayed up til 12... oops... and went outside to watch the fireworks from my front door since all of my neighbors have straight up Stadium of Fire fireworks.. so that was fun. theennnnn, we went to a dang volcano. pretty sick! my eyes about burned out of my head from the fumes, but it was way cool. then we went to like this cave thing under it.. there were thousands of bats and i hit my head a few times but it's okay cause i was wearing a snazzy hard hat.
welll hey... found out if we had transfers today and....................... drum roll please.............................. i had changes. changed areas. but still in Bello Horizonte.. but now in Maximo Jerez. WITH MY COMPANION DEAREST HERMANA SCOTT:) it's a happy day. we've decided we're not going to pay anyone to make us lunch anymore... so i will probably eat ramen everyday for the next 6 weeks.. but it's fine because that means NO RICE. heaven.
sorry i don't have much time this week! but just wanted to share a little miracle story. on Saturday i did divisions with one of my hermanas in the zone, and we were talking and she told me it's really unnormal for her and her companion to find more than 2 new families in a week. at lunch time we realized it was saturday and time to start our fast for sunday.. so we ate and started our fast to find families to baptize. then we went out to work, and by the end of the day.. we had found THREE new families. in ONE DAY. it was so great:) fasting. brings miracles. i promise. that's definitely not the first time i've seen it:)
seeing as it's the new year, and seeing as i am a missionary.. i gotta do it y'all. INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH. just do it. is it hard? no. does it bring blessings? yes. could it change a life? YES. so why not? :) hermana wheat is praying for you ;) by small and simple things, AMAZING things are brought to pass.
