this week in Nicaragua... definitely not as crazy as last week. but still great:)

got chased by a swarm of bees.. hid in some random persons house. that was cool. 

we went to this awesome monkey park where you can hold hand with the monkeys and it's HILARIOUS. they tried to take an elder in my district's watch.

i was teaching a lesson outside.. because that's just how we do it.. and i was sitting under a tree. my companion and i hear a parrot.. like there are wild parrots here.. super weird. anyways i look around and realize the parrot is directly above my head and say to my companion ''if this thing poops on me I'm going to KILL someone.'' literally two minutes later.. the freaking parrot takes a massive dump on my shoulder. and LAUGHS at me. i kid you not. and that, my friends, is why i HATE birds. (am i allowed to hate them now Julia?)

accidentally saw one direction on a TV at one of my investigators houses...

got OBSESSED with this amazing pear juice.

realized that here.. PEOPLE ARE SO BLUNT. like, they just call people fat or ugly like it's no big deal. at all. it's crazy. like the other day, my companion and i were eating lunch and the little kids at the house were asking how old we are.. and when my companion said 26.. one of the kids was like so that's why you're fatter than Hermana Wheat? hahahaha like what? pretty sure i would have gotten popped in the mouth if that came out of me, but the mom was like oh sweet cool. so weird.

found an AMAZING Italian food place. YUM. these people are legit from Italy and are in Matagalpa Nicaragua.. no idea why.. but I'm pretty freakin stoked about it.

this week was great because I'm teaching this family that i LOVE that's supposed to be baptized next week:) Petronila and Javier. they are so interested in everything we have to say and it makes me feel like I'm doing something right. i would always here that the people knew this stuff before they came to earth and you just have to remind them, and this is the first time i can actually see that! its amazing. the sucky thing is.. Petronila is still married to some random dude from like 20 years ago.. so she has to get her divorce papers signed.. so FINGERS CROSSED and prayers! 

Sundays are super weird though. this Sunday.. i spoke in church.. that was exciting.. but it went well! and then our second counselor in the presidency talked.. and talked about politics and WEIRD stuff. and only like 45 members showed up... and our president was working... man. the church here is interesting and SO different. it makes me so grateful for the church in the States. i will NEVER take church for granted again. i am sooo blessed and now i know just how much! and this week I've been especially grateful for my leaders and bishops and such.. so special shout out to Deb Spilsbury and Bishop Wilkinson and President Whimpey and my seminary teachers and any leader who has been an amazing example to me:) love you guys!

the church is true, the book is blue. i know it:)
