weeeeek DOS

hellllloooo america

sorry this is a random day.. i NEVER know when i'm going to write!
soo that picture is all the girls here!! not very many! but i really love it tons. there are about twice that many guys.. then that´s it! but its way fun knowing everyone around you.
shout out to the rain cause i freaking LOVE it. and shout out to julia for my dear elder.. which i just got like 3 days ago for some reason.. but i will write you back tomorrow, my P day!! also shout out to Morgan, even though she probs wont see this because she sent me my first real life letter. that was exciting. like i'm not joking. the people walk in with letters and everyone just stares and waits to see if they have one. LETTERS ARE LIKE GOLD here. and dear elders. SO SEND THEM. now. thanks:)

soooo spanish is sorta hard... but i'm learning! the other day we had to go teach random people who hadn't been to church in a long time.. supposably.. so me and hermana mcdonald go with like all these questions to ask and we´re just praying we understand her.. and we get there and were like, whens the last time you went to church?? and she goes.. domingo.. which is sunday.. so we're like.. okay when the last time you read the scriptures.. and she goes.. uhm lunes?? which is tuesday.. two days before.. hahaha so we were so confused and we just sat there trying to have this conversation with some lady who didnt have a clue what was going on either.. no idea what i said half of the time.. but she didn't slap me so i'll call it a good days work.

so the food has been pretty good lately but they are POUNDING US with those fried bananas... I DIE EVERY TIME I SEE THEM. my worst nightmare. and there was fish the other day.. i'm not kidding when i tell you i teared up when i opened my tinfoil and noticed it wasn't chicken. REAL TEARS. but an angel elder in my district ate it for me so i'm forever grateful for elder evans. always. AND there was banana bread again this week. HEAVEN i tell you. ALSO ALSO ALSO the fruit bar had mango today!! i had like 20 pieces.

uhm the other day our volleyball got hit over the fence and no one could get it back. so life basically sucks. just kidding. but i miss volleyball. basketball makes me sweat way too much.. the sun here is SO weird. like hotter than mesa somehow.. and time here is the strangest concept.. i feel like i got here yesterday.. but i also feel like i've been here for MONTHS. but im loving it so much and i cant wait for new kids to get here on wednesday so i can not feel like the new kid. haha. ooooh tomorrow we get to go to the mercado!! or market haha and we get our cameras back!! so hopefully i can send some pictures home next week?? maybe not. dont get your hopes up ma haha

mmmm i got a new teacher.. hermano chavez. he is THE greatest. LOVE him. im learning SOOO much from him. when he reads the book of mormon with us.. he honestly teaches me so much.. just from like 5 verses.. and he's only 22. its great, we love him tons. except.. so he's like a 22 year old man.. and he's like 5'4.. hahaha everyone here is SOOOO short.. they all comment on how tall i am. haha there's only one girl here taller than me and she leaves tomorrow.. but she's like Shea's height.. SO TALL. haha also i met Justin Park's cousin here.. and Paige Tingey's cousin.. and my home teacher from BYU's cousin.. and mormon world is so tiny i swear haha

okay just a second about how blessed i am to have my companion.. SHE IS AMAZING i love her. and my whole district. we have SO much fun together. don't get me wrong.. this place is SO hard and spanish and not knowing what's going on is a strug.. BUT i have SO much FUN a lot of the time! we're constantly laughing and making up dumb games and telling stories and you honestly make BEST friends in days. it's the greatest honestly. like i wouldn't give up this experience for ANYTHING. i'm so glad to be here:)

my testimony get's stronger every day! and here.. you realize JUST how much you NEED the spirit in your life.. honestly the holy ghost is your best friend here.. and prayer. we had a devotional broadcasted from provo and elder scott talked about how blessed we are to have prayer in our life.. and how it's such a privelege that the most powerful being on earth WANTS to hear from us. i've never looked at it like that before, but it definitely made me think about my prayers a whole lot more! so fam.. pray together! i can do it in spanish now!! but i wont make you do that. english is fine i guess. i KNOW i'm supposed to be here and i'm so lucky to be a missionary! i looooove it! don't worry about me, i'm happy, safe, and healthy.. even though i eat more beans than a human should ever be allowed to consume. and NOT by choice.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! hope everything is going good at home! mom dear elder me.. and tell jackson and carter and dad to dear elder me too! gracias:)

con mucho mucho mucho amor,
Hermana Wilsynn Wheat

p.s. the other day i was just laying in bed craving a hot pocket like NO OTHER. ugh. the struggle.
