hello from the mountains

So the most exciting thing that happened to me this week is that i dropped my entire plate of food at my lunch appointment and i had rice in my shoes all day.....

JOKES. (even though that really did happen and it was awkward and NASTY) HAD MY FIRST BAPTISM ON FRIDAY! best day. EVER. i don't know how many people have heard that missionary story of the kid who has the dream, and goes to his mission and finds his ''friend''? if you haven't LOOK IT UP. but, the girl i just baptized. pretty sure she is my ''friend.'' i thought i would never find that here, because i thought i would never get close enough to someone because of the language.. BUT. Elizabeth. she is the best. she has had a ton of missionaries before us but never got baptized, but always just says how much she loves US and how i have to stay with her my whole mission and always laughs at me.. it's the best. i can't remember ever being so happy as the day she was baptized:)
oh p.s. mom.. she had to get married to the guy she was living with before.. and i felt bad cause they're so poor and he can't buy a ring so i gave him my ring with the little crystal things in it to give to her.. sorry. haha.

in un-spiritual news.. we played dodge ball last p day.. and i've never been so sore in my life. and i realized i haven't done anything to work out my arms since high school.. oops.

dad this goes out to you... i was talking to a latino elder and he tries to speak english to me and i'm like, ''wow your english is so good!'' and trying to be all humble, he goes ''no my english suck''.. and i accidentally blurted out.. ''you mean, your english sucks?'' i'm a horrible person.

Spent a whole day on divisions with an hermana who knew NO SPANISH so i taught allll the lessons.. that was interesting. but at least i know i do know how to speak spanish.. i probably agreed to a few blasphemous things, but it's whatever. all in a days work.

THEN. spent this WHOLE WEEKEND in divisions with Hermana Mcdonald! BEST EVER. EVER. we had way too much fun :) it's a good thing we know a smidge more spanish than we did in the CCM.. or we would have been screwed. we did go into this one house where this psycho lady was going on about how Jesus Christ and Jehova are different people and aren't the sons of God? no idea. we just looked at each other and laughed. no idea what happened. YOLO. (yes i still say yolo)

well, you guys at home are the BEST. thanks for your prayers :) LOVE YOU ALL! church is true, book is blue. Jesus loves you. yup.

CON MUCHO AMOR,
Hermana Wheat
