ONE MORE WEEK

okay. so here's to praying you get this one since you apparently didn't get my last one? so confused. but shout out to Carly, Lucy and Alexa for dear elders this week! and shout out to gramps for the letter!

 

if you're wondering why I'm in the same place in our weekly picture its because i always just walk to the end of the line since its from tallest to shortest and I'm massive. its fine. the girl standing next to me is hermana tooley, she's the greatest. looove her. my companion is the one

 

anyways. ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, i will be in Nicaragua.. SO CRAZY. mom, i wont be able to email until 2 weeks from today I've heard, so don't have a panic attack if you don't hear from me next week. I'm not dead. probably anyways.

 

okay i never have any idea how to start these.. so they're random and probs make ZERO sense but sorry. you'll get over it.

 

so i have new roommates cause my old ones left for the field last week.. my new ones are CRAZY latinas.. they HATE sleeping with the window open.. and i don't know how to say ''hey uhm I'm going to suffocate to death'' in Spanish.. so i usually just wait til they're in bed then i open the window and get the death glare from them. i can handle it its fine. i think they hate me. they also like to leave hair EVERYWHERE. like its nasty.

 

this week i gained a new skill. i can now officially whistle with my hands like the indians. know what I'm talking about? hope so. its pretty sick not gonna lie.

 

i have about 59876 bug bites.. and some awesome tan lines from my shoes and my t shirts during deportes so there's that. so exciting.

 

ahhh my new favorite thing? playing the cup game after meals. me and my best elder friend kid.. don't know how to explain that.. haha have competitions and all the latinos just gather around us cause they've never seen it before. SO FUNNY. then elder linford tries to teach them how to do it and they legit cannot figure it out.. i die of laughter. hahaha

 

oooh p day! FINALLY GOT TO GO TO WALMART. so weird. first.. we get on this bus.. which is stick shift.. and keeps stalling every two seconds.. and the traffic in Guatemala is nuts and drivers are CRAZY and our driver was one fearless son of a gun. we were like weaving.. i kid you not. this place is NUTS. oh and i got to wear jeans! holla. and yes mom, they fit. on the bus all the boys were sitting in the back and they all start singing lets get down to business from mulan.. greatest (and most mormon) thing ever. so uh walmart.. all the signs were in spanish. and all the workers spoke spanish. and i COULDN'T FIND KIT KATS. (but one elder who knows how much i love them got some in a package last night and gave me two today so he's basically my hero. i LOVE everyone here) but yeah overall. walmart? weird. but got some stuff i needed so that's good. then we went to this field and played football and stuff.. dad.. if i do say so myself i think i did ya proud. then we went to a mall with an AMERICAN FOOD COURT. i had a foot long and a wendy's frosty. made my life. thennnnnnnn me and my companion placed our first book of mormon.. SO SCARY! but sooo good! we made sure the guy didn't throw it away. don't worry. then we came home and i had a TWO HOUR NAP. cant even explain how amazing it was. AHH

 

in case y'all are wondering.. FOUR LEAF CLOVERS ARE REAL. I FOUND LIKE 20. its the craziest ever. also, butterflies here will just like chill on your finger.. i held one for like 10 minutes the other day. SO SICK. i wish i had my camera!

 

had THE SICKEST block in volleyball of my whole entire life the other night. like everyone was cheering for me. i have a sick bruise on my arm for the proof.

 

ahh i just love this place and i cannot believe I'm leaving it so soon!! I'm gonna miss all my friends here but i CANNOT wait to see what Nicaragua has waiting for me!
